Data Manager - Genetics
Performs single cell sequencing data processing and analysis for the CPRIT single cell genomics core facility. Maintains QC metrics and sample records of next-generation sequencing experiments and organizes data on the servers. Meets with users to review data analysis and results.
Key Functions
* Performs data pre-processing of single cell DNA, RNA and epigenomic
datasets.
* Performs clustering, high-dimensional and annotation analysis of datasets.
* Maintains records of next-generation sequencing data that is generated by the
core.
* Transfers processed data to users and communicates back results
* Organizes data on laboratory servers.EDUCATION:
Required: Bachelor's degree with a major in Computer Science, Statistics or related field.
Required: Bachelor's degree with a major in Computer Science, Statistics or related field.
Preferred: Master's or PhD. in bioinformatics, computational biology or data science.
EXPERIENCE:
Required: Five years of experience in database design and management. With preferred degree, three years of experience is required. May substitute required education degree with additional years of equivalent experience on a one to one basis.
