Supervisor, Outpatient Services - Gastrointestinal Center
The Supervisor, Outpatient Services position in the Gastrointestinal Center at MD Anderson Cancer Center provides day-to-day oversight of Patient Service Coordinator staff. Leads and coaches team to provide exceptional service to patients and providers. Ensures accurate scheduling of appointments, and supervises all patient communication channels. Encourages a patient focused, cost-effective and high quality environment for all front-line interactions.

MD Anderson’s Gastrointestinal (GI) Center team of over 80 physicians offers many treatment options, including targeted therapies, minimally invasive surgery, proton therapy and innovative chemotherapy methods as part of a customized treatment plan. Our expertise and advanced diagnostic tools allows us to deliver the most comprehensive care available for GI cancers to the 1600+ patients that visit us each week.
The ideal candidate will have experience leading a large team in a healthcare front office or call center setting.

* Thorough collection of co-payments, coordination of benefits, photos, demographics, etc.

EDUCATION:
Required: Bachelor's degree.
EXPERIENCE:
Required: Three years of experience in a healthcare environment to include two years in a project coordination/lead/supervisory capacity. May substitute required education degree with additional years of equivalent experience on a one to one basis.
Preferred Experience: Experience leading a large team in a healthcare front office or call center setting.
