Monitor Tech (Telemetry - Thoracic Surgery Unit /7pm - 7am)

Monitor Tech position on
our Telemetry / Thoracic Surgery Unit (7pm - 7am)
Ideal candidate must
have a high school diploma or equivalent, one year prior experience in EKG /
cardiac monitoring.
Salary Range: $28,800 -
$36,000 - $43,200
SUMMARY
The primary purpose of
the Monitor Technician position is for continuous observation, identification
and documentation of changes in patient cardiac rate / rhythm.

COMPETENCIES
Key Functions
- Maintains competency in EKG/cardiac rhythms, non-invasive blood pressure monitoring (NIBI), and pulse oximetry (Sp02) through at least annual testing.

REQUIREMENTS
Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred: Successful completion of a basic
cardiac arrhythmia course.
Preferred Education: 2 Year College Degree
Certification: Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
certification.
Preferred Certification: Certified ECG Technician or CRAT
Experience: One year prior experience in EKG / cardiac
monitoring. No experience required with preferred education.
