Patient Care Technician - Stem Cell Transplantation & Cellular Therapy (G18) - Day / Evening
The inpatient Stem Cell Transplant & Cellular units are on the 17th and 18th floors. They have a total of 96 beds and are the largest program of its kind in the world, performing around 800 transplants per year.
Function:
Provides patient care services as assigned by a registered nurse.
Scope:
Impacts patient comfort and outcome of care.
Essential Job Functions:
Acts as member of a multidisciplinary team that identifies and addresses patient care needs.
Assists in completion of activities of daily living, mobilization, admit/discharge and obtaining vital signs.
Updates and retrieves patient information.
Ensures patient environment is maintained in a clean, safe and orderly manner. Acts as part of an assigned care team.
EDUCATION
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE
Required:
Three years of relevant work experience.
May substitute additional education for required experience a one to one basis.
OTHER
Required:
Must pass pre-employment skills test as required and administered by Human Resources.
