Patient Care Technician - Leukemia (G12) – Day / Evening

G12 East is one of the primary Leukemia units, within the hospital, with half the rooms serving as Protective Environment rooms.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum one year of direct patient care experience. CNA certification and prior inpatient experience strongly preferred.
KEY FUNCTIONS
Acts as member of a multidisciplinary team that identifies and addresses patient care needs.
Assists in completion of activities of daily living, mobilization, admit/discharge and obtaining vital signs. Updates and retrieves patient information.
Ensures patient environment is maintained in a clean, safe and orderly manner.
Acts as part of an assigned care team.
EDUCATION
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE
Required:
Three years of work experience.
May substitute additional education for required experience a one to one basis.
Preferred:
At least one year of experience as a CNA, or similar role, in an inpatient setting.
OTHER
Required:
Must pass pre-employment skills test as required and administered by Human Resources.
