Speech Language Pathologist - Voice Specialty
The Speech Language Pathologist at MD Anderson Cancer Center is to be an active member of the Head and Neck Center Health care team by the evaluation and treatment of patients with swallowing, cognitive and or communication deficits of functional and/or organic origin. They impact patient care through the evaluation and treatment of speech, language, cognitive, voice and/or swallowing disorders. They provide comprehensive evaluations of patients, develop and administer the plan of care consistent with area(s) of deficit, initiate referrals and convey recommendations to the appropriate resource/agency, and maintain appropriate records (progress notes, IPOCTR, etc.) of activity and services provided.
The ideal candidate will have experience in voice therapy, including stroboscopy.

Our team of specialized speech pathologists, audiologists and prosthodontists help maintain or restore speech, swallowing and hearing abilities after treatment.

EDUCATION:
Required: Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology.
EXPERIENCE:
Required: No experience required.
We are only able to consider CFYs with voice clinic experience at this time.
Preferred: Experience in voice therapy, including stroboscopy. Experience working as a voice coach or a degree minor in Voice or Music would be a plus.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:
Required: All of the following:
- Certification or eligible for Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology awarded by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
- Licensure or eligible for Speech-Language Pathology license issued by the Texas State Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.
