Physician Assistant (Medical Oncology) opportunity in the Sugar Land Houston Area Location. Ideal candidate will be an experienced Physician Assistant, preferably with medical oncology experience.
SUMMARY
Provides direct
diagnostic and therapeutic patient care under physician supervision.
SCOPE OF FUNCTION
The Medical Oncology clinic is very busy in Sugar Land, operating 5 days a week, and isstaffed by 3 Medical Oncologists. The APP will support both co-managed and independent APP visits. The ATC (also open 5 days a week) requires early AM provider coverage, as well as occasional extended PM coverage for patients who require symptom management, have medication reactions and/or need chemotherapy clearance, etc. The position will support expansion efforts in APP independent clinical activity including visits and/or procedures.
Duties are carried out in accordance with
policies established by the Executive Committee of the Medical Staff and
consistent with the Texas State Board of Physician Assistants and Medical
Examiners, and existing state laws.
Responsible for the
performance of increasingly independent and complex tasks of a routine and
standardized nature which would otherwise be performed by a physician. To provide advanced patient care in relation
to the patient’s prescribed diagnosis, treatment, age group, development, and
other identified needs.
SALARY RANGE: $93,600 - $117,000 - $140,400
